TESTIMONIALS
“When my second child was born 7 weeks early it was a very challenging time for my family. My husband was working 6 days a week and I was overwhelmed. I felt like a first time mom all over again as I faced challenges with my premie that I didn’t experience with my first born.
Sally was a saving grace for me during this time. She helped me tackle some latch issues with breastfeeding, cared for my little one while I went to doctors appointments or took a shower, fed me nourishing meals, and was sure to keep me hydrated and caffeinated.
Sally is an incredible resource. She combines her experience of being a rockstar mom herself with knowledge of postpartum struggles, to lift you up so that you can be the best version of yourself for your baby.
Sally never made me feel judged, only comforted and supported. I feel so fortunate to have been the recipient of her kindness, wisdom, and friendship when I truly needed it most. Sally was an invaluable part of my village.” Ciara, April 2022
Sally is absolutely incredible, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for assistance post-pregnancy as a new mom. Sally is just the kind, calming presence you need during this time. She is not only helpful with providing education - she gives you the reassurance and confidence that you're doing great as a new mom when you need it most. Sally is there to help no matter what it is you need. Some days that might be education around breast feeding, or how to set up baby equipment, or how to properly sanitize bottles. Other days it might be help around the house like doing laundry, organizing baby clothes - or making yummy snacks to have on-hand in the fridge. And other days it might just be caring for your newborn when you need a minute to yourself to take a walk or run errands or get in a workout. Sally is SO wonderful at all of these things and truly a gift for any family adjusting to life with a new baby. Jennifer, March 2023
Sally is an exceptional postpartum doula who has been a blessing to our family during this special time. Her caring and nurturing nature have made all the difference in our postpartum journey.
As a new parent without family nearby finding support can feel like stumbling through a maze. After interviewing a handful of doulas, I was fortunate enough to encounter Sally. From our initial consultation, Sally exuded warmth and expertise, instantly putting me at ease. She took the time to understand my needs and hopes, demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting my transition into parenthood. Her non-judgmental and reassuring presence helped alleviate any anxieties I had, allowing me to focus on bonding with my baby and recovering from childbirth.
Sally anticipated my needs before I even voiced them. Whether it was preparing nutritious meals, taking care of the baby so I could rest, sharing lots and lots of helpful resources and tips, taking the dog for a walk, throwing in a load of laundry, or offering practical advice on breastfeeding techniques, Sally was *always* one step ahead. She truly went above and beyond to ensure our entire family's well-being (including our very excited puppy).
Sally's expertise in lactation support was also invaluable. She patiently guided me through breastfeeding challenges and provided practical tips that made a world of difference. Her breastfeeding expertise, encouragement, and positivity gave me the confidence I needed to overcome the many obstacles we faced along the way.
I cannot recommend Sally enough to any family in need of postpartum support. She is not just a doula but a friend who genuinely cares about the families she serves. Many thanks, Sally, for making our postpartum experience so positive and memorable! Patricia, March 2024
As a new dad navigating the unpredictable waters of life with a newborn, Sally emerged as a beacon of support for both my wife and I.
Sally's ability to seamlessly integrate into our family dynamic was nothing short of remarkable. Not only did she provide invaluable support to my wife as she recovered from childbirth and adjusted to the demands of caring for our newborn, but she also was able to juggle the needs of our newborn with those of our energetic puppy. She lovingly tended to the needs of our furry friend and also provided guidance on managing the transition.
Beyond her practical skills, Sally brought an abundance of warmth and compassion into our home. Her positive and gentle demeanor created an atmosphere of calm amidst the inevitable chaos of early parenthood. Whether she was soothing our baby to sleep, proactively helping with household shores, or ensuring that my wife felt heard, supported, and empowered, Sally's presence was a constant source of reassurance for our family.
Sally's impact on our family cannot be overstated. Her nurturing support, ability to navigate the needs of both our baby and our puppy, and her warm, positive presence made all the difference in those precious early days of parenthood. We are forever grateful for her guidance and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family in need of support. If you're fortunate enough to have Sally by your side, consider yourself truly lucky. I cannot recommend Sally highly enough as a postpartum doula. From the moment she arrived, her kindness was evident, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. Sally is an exceptional listener; she truly heard and understood our needs without ever making us feel judged. Her nonjudgmental approach made us feel completely at ease during a challenging time. Most importantly, Sally's care for Annie was nothing short of wonderful. She provided thoughtful and compassionate support, ensuring that both Annie and our family felt nurtured and well-cared-for. Sally’s presence was a tremendous comfort, and we are incredibly grateful for her exceptional help during this special time. Rob, July 2024
Everyone needs someone like Sally in their lives! From the first call we had, it was clear how amazing Sally was and why she came so highly recommended.
Sally is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Her support was instrumental in getting through the first few months of having a newborn. I truly looked forward to the nights she was with us, not *only* because that meant we got sleep but also because she is such a joy to spend time with. She is so knowledgeable about babies, postpartum, and parenting in general and I felt so supported during such a precious time.
If you have the opportunity to work with Sally, TAKE IT! It will be the greatest decision you’ll make as you prepare to bring a new baby home. Alexandra, July 2024
“Sally was the most amazing resource for our family after the birth of our second child. Sally is incredibly kind and immediately knew what we needed and made it easy for me to accept help (which is often tough for me!). She was amazing interacting with our older child before he went to school and our baby LOVED her. Sally did both daytime support where she would accomplish in 4 hours what I could do in about a week (baby care, cooking, laundry, tidy) and nighttime support for a few nights to allow us to get true rest.” Catherine, March 2023
“After our second child my wife had serious complications that we needed to deal with as a family. Sally was truly a life saver. She is caring, kind, funny, and genuinely supportive. My only wish is that I could have her come every day.” Andrew, March 2023
“From the minute Sally walked in, I just felt more confident. She was fun, easy to talk to, and came prepared to HELP! She was great with my baby, who warmed right up to her, and she took such joy in spending time with us. Sally's visits helped with my confidence and also helped me relax. I was nervous to try nursing in public, and Sally offered to do a trial run with me in our neighborhood! I also took some time to myself during her visits. I'd do a yoga video, take a long shower, or sometimes just sit at my dining table and pour my heart out while she made me lunch.
Beforehand I'd worried having someone new in my house would take more from me than I'd get. I am very polite--would I feel the need to "host"? This is nothing like that. Sally is like an old friend who has seen it all--I felt completely at ease having her around for all my highs and lows. We didn't have any friends or family living nearby and we were so grateful to have someone who could come and just take care of us. I'd recommend Sally to anyone.” Colleen, March 2022
“Sally is a gift to new moms - there is simply no other way to put it. When I had my second child, with no family around, Sally provided kindness, warmth, a listening ear, a reassuring presence, and a depth of knowledge. She not only helped take care of my baby, she made me feel cared for. She literally held me up as I struggled to adjust to life with a newborn and a toddler. She made me nourishing food, calmed my fussy baby, answered my endless questions, tamed my fears, provided resources, and not only listened, but heard me. So many parts of motherhood can feel isolating, but with Sally, I didn’t ever feel alone. I felt seen. Even though this wasn’t my first rodeo, I still found myself turning to Sally — who has two kids herself — for reassurance and understanding as I navigated my new role as a parent of two.
Truly, the best part about Sally is that she brings her whole self to this work — without judgment, without expectation, and with a whole lot of patience, grace, love, and tenderness. I cannot recommend her enough. Everyone deserves someone like Sally by their side for the early days of motherhood.” Sharon, January 2023
